Inbound Marketing

The last few months at 5j Design have been quite exciting. We launched a new website design and have been working on a complete new line of service offerings called inbound marketing.

What is Inbound Marketing?

Unlike traditional marketing with buying TV ads, radio spots, magazines ads, or cold calling, inbound marketing focuses on creating educational content that pulls people toward your website where they can learn more about what you sell on their own time.

How does Inbound Work?

We've all heard that "content is king". Inbound centers around content for qualified leads to find online. Content can take all shapes and form through website pages, blog articles, social media, whitepapers, webinars, and more. Through metrics, you will then be able to understand what content turns leads into sales and use that information to personalize your marketing.

The matter of fact is that we as a society have changed how we buy and consume information. People today are well-informed and will often start with a Google search to find the products and services they need. Outbound marketing, which uses interruptive-style media, has cluttered the landscape and consumers have become overwhelmed to this style of messaging. Through Inbound Marketing, you are able to meet the buyer throughout various points in the buyer's life cycle (and in the channel where they want to interact with you) to increase your odds of closing the deal.

The Software

Five J Design has partnered with an inbound marketing company called HubSpot to bring you the software that ties this strategy into one spot for you to manage. Personally, I've fallen in love with the software and would never go back to managing our marketing through various channels. In the software, I can create and edit blog posts, conduct keyword research for SEO, schedule social media postings, sources of web traffic and visitors, and that's just scratching the surface! This software (entirely web-based) has other tools available to help manage leads and nurture potential clients throughout the buyer process.
